Why is the mainstream media ignoring Climategate that which proves that climate science is a fraud?

December 2nd, 2009

Or if not a total outright fraud, then at least there is not a consensus among scientists. ClimateGate Scientist Phil Jones is ’stepping down pending investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change’

What are some simple steps or creative ideas that people can take at home and work to combat global warming?

November 11th, 2009

Global warming is not only one of the most threatening environmental problems, but one of the greatest challenges facing all of humanity. Danger signs are surfacing worldwide as temperatures increase (the last ten years have been the hottest years ever recorded causing glaciers and the polar ice caps to melt, coastal areas to flood and storms to become more severe). If left unchecked, global warming will continue to have a profound impact on our planet that will eventually cause catastrophic results. Fortunately, there are things each of us can do. Buildings — including our homes — are major contributors to greenhouse gases they’re responsible for up to 40% of all energy and resource use and approximately 1/3 of greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.

can someone help me write a letter to a national newspaper, highlighting the isse of climate change?

November 4th, 2009

I have a geography assignment on climate change, and one of the questions asks:
write a letter to either a national newspaper or your local member of parliament, highlighting the issue and the need for it to be the issue to be addressed.
i chose climate change and just need some help/tips on writing this as i dont see how i can say the issue needs to be addressed although there is not much that can be done about it?
i just need some points to add, your options, etc..

thankyou.

ps. please dont answer dont ask people to do your homework. as i am not asking anyone to do it for me, just for help. and they have included a ‘homework help’ catagory to list questions in.

Do you give equal weight to qualified scientists vs some chumps with fancy websites and a strong opinions?

October 22nd, 2009

Do you hold the opinion of some random individual on the street at the same level of a qualified consensus opinion of a group of doctors and medical researchers on a medical issue? Similarly, do you hold the random fervent rantings of individuals within the blogosphere to the same level as that of the scientific community on global warming?
