Isn’t global cooling a far greater threat than global warming?

December 13th, 2009

Historically, warm periods have been associated with periods of affluence and increased agricultural productivity. For instance, we know from written records that during the Medieval Warm Period, grapes were growing in England, and significant populations developed in Greenland.

Likewise, problems potentially caused by global warming – such as increasing desertification – are easily solved by the application of modern technology (i.e., nuclear desalination) and infrastructure development.

Is it more efficiant to heat a basement in winter or am I just wasting energy?

December 12th, 2009

I have always wondered if heating my unused basement is more efficient than shutting the air supply off and not heating it. I cant find the answer any where so some experienced advice would be great!!
Ok I have a ranch style home with a forced air furnace! It would not get freezing if I didn’t heat the basement but I was wondering if you heat the basement does this help keep the house warmer or does it not matter.

December 11th, 2009

People rebuild in hurricane alley, instead of moving to safety!

Just a couple of examples where people refuse to adapt to change. Instead they want to impliment impossible ideas, like let’s keep the Earth at 72 degrees, 24-7. Whatever you do don’t let the Earth change like it’s been doing for billions of years.
